How I Survived the Sudden Addition of  a Little Sister

Mind you, I have nothing against well-mannered four-legged kind like me. The park is where I tend to do my socializing.  I can be particular about who I meet and greet there, and leave the less amiable fur-balls behind when I return to my peaceful den where my friendship and loyalty belong foremost to my Mistress.  So you can imagine my surprise, when the Mistress brought a stranger home who shows no immediate or future plans of leaving.  Seems she had lost her forever home somehow.  Which earned her no points in my ledger, as so did I long ago.

Fortunately,  Momma seems to have chosen someone who doesn’t question my seniority or try to usurp my authority; ” laid back” is what the humans call her personality.  I wouldn’t call myself a primadonna, but the Fido-fact remains -  I was here first,  doggone-it.  Momma  made it clear to her that
